Lean on the Rise
The 2011 edition of the Lean Software & systems Conference comes to beautiful Long Beach California in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. Our 2011 event aims to build on the momentum generated in Miami (2009) and Atlanta (2010) to truly emphasize that Lean concepts such as Kanban represent the next wave of ideas in methods, process and organization for software & systems engineering development.
Lean concepts such as kanban systems having been gaining greater adoption in technology departments across a broad range of industries. The Lean Software & Systems Conference brings together a community of practitioners, consultants, thought leaders and authors to cross-pollinate ideas and foster a sense of community for those leading change and promoting better economic and sociological outcomes in their workplace.
Our community has been commended for its breadth of membership, its depth of knowledge, its diversity, and its open-mindedness and tolerance of new, and unfashionable ideas. In 2011 we are seeking to broaden the reach of our event including program tracks to attract hardware product developers, managers concerned with risk and corporate governance, as well as large scale systems design.
Our international event will feature speakers and visitors from Europe, Asia, South America, the Middle-East and Africa and will include a banquet dinner and presentation of our 2011 Brickell Key Award for outstanding achievement and community contribution in the use of Lean and Kanban in the field of software or systems engineering.
Our 2011 event features a broad range of themes including Lean Product Design, Kanban, Risk, Systems Engineering, Management, (Ultra Large Scale) Systems Design, Multi-modal Processes, Process Visualization, and a focus on industry verticals with significant adoption of Lean ideas, such as, Media, Games, Finance and Insurance.
Confirmed key note speakers include Chet Richards, author of “Certain to Win”, and Dave Snowden, co-author of “Emergence, Complexity, and Organization.” We have two more exciting key note speakers. We hope to make these announcements soon.
